Who are we?

Our club is one of two divisions within World Class Urban Foundation a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that has a multipurpose mandate, one of which is to support and promote academics and athletics among our youth by developing outstanding student athletes. Youth education is delivered through World Class Academic Club. Youth sports is delivered through World Class Sports Club, where our objective is to create a wholesome environment where kids can be physically stimulated, which we believe can be accomplished best through athletic development and competitive sports.  Our aspirations emanate from a growing movement of parents (see the Lets Move initiative spearheaded by First Lady Michelle Obama) who prefer that their kids be actively engaged in invigorating activities rather than allowing them to become couch potatoes as a result of watching hours of mindlessly TV, playing video games or even worse becoming addicted to social- networks.  However they also prudently recognize society has changed and for the most part depending on where you live, no longer can you simply let you kids play outside unsupervised due to the dangers lurking around every corner.  They also have seen or experienced firsthand the benefits that organized sports can have on children ranging from the life-long health and fitness regimen they learn to embrace, to the intrinsic determination that competitive sports generates which in many instances transfers over into the classroom environment creating a talented generation of student athletes, ready to make their mark on society.  Many parents agree that club sports occupy time that otherwise may lead to mischief among children while instead generating a sense of responsibility, accomplishment and once again a competitive edge that will surely be needed in the coming future in light of narrowing economically viable career choices our children face amidst a sophisticated global workforce.  Club sports also develops valuable social skills acquired through teamwork and camaraderie along with creating a priceless sense of work-ethic that has become a lost characteristic among our youth.  We invite you to sign up today!
